Transformers

A transformer changes voltage levels and facilitates transmission, distribution and utilization of electrical power in the most efficient and economic manner. The health of transformer industry depends largely on the power generation and transmission system programme. The major users of this product are the State Electricity Boards, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited and other industries. Some special types of transformers are also manufactured, which are used for the purpose of welding, traction, electrical furnaces etc. The Transformer Industry in India has developed for over 55 years and has a well matured technology base.
