Name:  RICHARDSON & CRUDDAS 1972 LIMITED (R&C)

Introduction:

  • R&C came into existence on 15th March 1973 by the virtue of the Act of Parliament “Richardson and Cruddas Limited (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act” and since then, the company is under administrative control of Ministry of Heavy Industries, New Delhi.
  • R&C had operations at following 4 locations:
    1. Byculla Mumbai: Boiler & pressure vessels, Turnkey sugar plants, civil jobs, site fabrication & erection etc.
    2. Mulund Mumbai: Dishend of Pressure vessels & Heat exchanger columns, boiling house equipments etc.
    3. Nagpur Unit: Load testing of towers, fabrication and erection of transmission line towers, galvanized switch yard/ substation structures etc.

    4. Chennai Unit: India Mark II deepwell hand pumps, compressors, steel structures, environmental consultancy and laboratory services, environmental engineering, effluent and sewage treatment plants

       

  • Pursuant to Union Cabinet decision 2016, Company is presently into restructuring of operations
  • The Corporate Office is located at Mumbai
  • Pan India presence: R&C is having 4 Units at Byculla (Mumbai), Mulund (Mumbai), Chennai and Nagpur
  • Performance: The Company’s is reporting profits since 2016-17 and has reported turnover of Rs29.11 Crores and PBT of Rs16.99 Crores for the financial year 2022-23.
  • Products/ Services: Pursuant to Union Cabinet decision 2016, Company is presently into restructuring of operations. The implementation of Union Cabinet decision is under way. An Inter-ministerial Group has been constituted to identify the best use of the Company’s land assets at Mumbai (Byculla and Mulund)
